The steppe ecosystem has long been protected by a synchronization between the agropasteur and the space in which it lives. Agropastoral practices ensured a balance, allowing natural resources to regenerate. Today the land of nomadism has undergone profound changes in the
organization of society steppe, causing the emergence of new practices, unusual and foreign life style of its people. The effect of these changes is a degradation which weakened the ecosystem, soil and climatic conditions destabilized by human intervention. Recognizing the
importance of this medium, and a few years afterin dependence, the State sought through many reforms, projects and programs, the fight against desertification, preserve paths and try to keep residents of these regions on the spot, while improving their living conditions socially and financially.
Through this thesis, we have attempted to present the steppe of Tébessa, and its dynamics, make an assessment of the projects and programs of the year 1970 to the year 2010.
