Résumé:
The urban solid waste of the city of Constantine is deposited in a CET after that in a wild dump, in El Haria, municipality located at 40km. In fact, the surrounding area has been polluted and a prejudice on the population of the village of Khenaba by the wild landfill leachate discharged to the outside environment with or without treatment. The study of the impact of these leachates was carried out during the period 2010-2017 on groundwater and surface water. Physical and chemical analyses showed that the leachate water discharged to the receiving environment, with or without treatment, exceeds the leachates discharge standards. (For CET: COD of 2200mg O2/l and BOD5 of 1040mg O2/l, for the wild discharge COD of 4600mg O2/l, BOD5 of 2973mg O2/l). As per the following results : BOD5 of 2500 mg O2/l, COD of 3600 mg O2/l, 15442 mg/l in chlorides and 4.8 mg/l in nitrites, River waters near Khenaba site are very polluted . The waters of the three wells (8-80m deep) are contaminated with total coliforms (300 cfu/ml), enterobacteria (103 cfu/ml), enterococci (60 cfu/ml). Salmonella and Clostriduim are also present. These values exceed the potability standards for water.
