Abstract

In recent years, non-regulatory neighborhoods attract the interest of public authorities. These are striving to bring tirelessly arrangements and new guidelines for appropriate urban governance. This area is in fact our basic premise that we have tried to elucidate throughout this thesis. It is building on a series of demographic, economic, sociological and historical settings that we managed to very convincing results which demonstrate unequivocally that the phenomenon of informal settlements in the Algerian cities is old and in no way characterizes the post-independence period with the appearance of many illegal neighborhoods in the image of the city and the city Ben Tellis, Halbedel to Constantine. To give face to this type of habitat and highlight its morphological features its socio-economic and spatial dimension, we focused our analysis as an analytical approach, quantitative. This draws in urban governance framework of typical modes of intervention according to the specificities of each area.
