We propose the numerical study by the method of the finite volumes of a jet in impact. The jet is
symmetrical, consisting of the air from a rectangular nozzle that normally impacts on a flat surface.
A parametric analysis of the different influences on the gas-phase exchanges with varying physical
properties was carried out. The mathematical formulation of this problem is based on the coupled
equations of the dynamic field, the temperature and the mass fraction of the vapor. The system of
equations with boundary and interface conditions is solved by the finite volume method. The
hydrodynamic study of the isothermal and stationary jet is followed by the non-isothermal case
where heat transfer is characterized. A method of modeling evaporation through a porous and
permeable wall surface in the presence of flow has been proposed. We present an analysis of the
mass flow of vapor according to the temperature, the pressure and the velocity of flow, as well as the
time. |
