Abstract:
The techniques of natural ventilation count among the best solutions, which are used to ensure
the thermal comfort of occupants as well as to reduce the energy bill. This thesis aims to
evaluate the use of crossing natural ventilation and one-sided ventilation in order to predict
the best adapted technique. Another objective of this thesis is the study the heat transfert in a
vertical channel asymmetrically heated in order to study the influence of inclination of the not
heated wall on natural convection and predict the ideal angle for a better energy efficiency.
The results of this work has proved that the technique of cross ventilation is undoubtedly the
best solution in order to avoid all causes that degrade building quality and promote the
comfort of occupants. It has also been prove that the inclination of -10° (of the non-heated
wall) seemed with being the optimal angle ensuring greatest energy efficiency.
