"In this work, we describe and analyze an example of an experimental passive bistatic
radar system. This PBSR uses echoes from an FM radio transmitter. The study consists of
exploiting Matlab-Simulink tools. In doing this, we first generate and modulate the FM
wave that may be transmitted by a source of opportunity, and then simulate the environment
and the target of interest. To efficiently remove the direct signal interference from
the receiver channels, we make use of an adaptive filter algorithm (NLMS). Then, to enhance
the quality of the received signal, we substitute the conventional matched filter by
a computationally efficient cross-correlation technique. Finally, we use the CA-CFAR detector
to perform target detection. The estimation of the angles of arrival is also discussed"
