dc.description.abstract In this work we study the effect of a polymer: PEG 4000 on chemical and mechanical properties of Hydrated Calcium silicates (C.S.H) obtained by hydration of cement. Chemical analyzes have shown that the addition of PEG 4000 in the cement had no influence on the chemical composition of cement, comforting our choice of polymer. In contrast, mechanical analyzes have shown a decrease in mechanical strength (flexion and compression) that can be attributed to the increase in volume of the dough as demonstrated by Turcry and al [92], who observed a decrease of 12% of the mechanical strengths for an increase of 57% in the volume of the dough.
