dc.description.abstract This thesis, which was carried out in the framework of obtaining a PhD degree in organometallic chemistry, contains two main parts, where the first part is devoted to the synthesis of various derivatives of sulfur ligands of the dithiole-thione type which belongs to a biologically active family. Afterward, a comparative study of these ligands with their organometallic complexes was realized. Other sulfur oxygen, nitrogen and halogen ligands of the dithiole-one type have been studied and their main characteristic values have been compared with those of dithiole-thione. Also in this part, an organometallic complex based on copper was synthesized and deeply characterized. Different spectroscopic methods such as: IR, NMR and X-ray diffraction on mono-crystal were used for the characterization of the compounds prepared in this part. The second part of the work is devoted to the synthesis of catalysts via the surface organometallic chemistry techniques and from an organometallic complex based on an abundant transition metal, and that to prepare active and inexpensive catalysts. This work has led to five different copper-based catalysts which have been synthesized and characterized by different spectroscopic methods such as: IR, solid state NMR, EPR, TEM, GCMS, elemental analysis and diffraction of X-ray on powder. The catalytic activity of the catalysts obtained was tested for dimethyl butadiene and for dialkyl carbonates, and the results have shown very promising applications for the economy and the environment.
