Abstract

his survey attempts to prospect the impacts of the information network specially the Local Area network on the management of the University by using the different applications proposed by the information networks in particular the University of M’sila. Certainly the networks are a vector of communication within different enterprises/institutions as well as an inescapable tool in the access to set of information thought the transfer of files and data between users of network with high degree of security and acquaintance. Network also target to: - Share and exchange of information ( messaging note book of address and teleconferences) - Set up collaborative by means of work of group, work from afar, and meeting in lines. - Expand the use of the common applications (management of the projects, management of data bases, management of the documentary base and directories) But network goes beyond the technical and scientific impact, to revolutionize the archaic and traditional relations of works based on the centralization and the monopoly of information, to a management based on the mind of the opening and the sharing to consolidate the mind of group within the university and to reinforce the mind of adherence to a welded and homogenous group. Finally the survey tries to focus on the importance of LAN inside the University for More Accuracy in research and studies and easy access to electronic digital library, to be taken into account in the future
