Comparaison des différents modèles de turbulence d'un écoulement aérodynamique dans un cyclone

The cyclone is a two-phase device for the separation of the particles. It is usually employed in the field of the industrial applications. The Fluent code envisages very well the physical phenomena of the cyclone. The numerical study of aerodynamics was based on three cyclones with various lower diameters of the cone of the cyclone with various inlet velocities. Three digital models were compared to know RNG K-ε, k-ε and the RSM (Reynolds stress model). The three-dimensional nature of the flow was confirmed. The fall of pressure increases with the increase speeds of entry for all the studied models of turbulence. The fall decreases with the increase in the report/ratio of the diameter of the cone and the best choice it is cyclone 1. The validation of the results highlighted the advantage of the model of the stresses of Reynolds. This model collects better the phenomena in an intense turbulent flow in the presence of the walls.
