Vapour ejector refrigeration has become a topic of interest for research in recent years for the
reasons that it is a heat-operated system utilizing low-grade energy; waste heat from industrial
process, etc., a computer code based on one dimensional ejector theory is written to analyze
performance of the ejector. The code dresses effects of friction at the constant area mixing
chamber. The effects of critical entrainment ratio are studied. The influence of tree major
parameters: generator, condenser and evaporator temperature, on coefficient of performance
is discussed. The design conditions were generator temperature (62-87°C), condenser (24 -
36°C) and evaporator temperature (0-12°C). Comparison of performance of ejector with 5
refrigerants, R134a, R152a, R290, R600a, and R717 is made
