"This work proposes a contribution to studying, designing of the non planar
antennas having a wide band for wireless communications. The first part is concerned to
study planar antennas such as microstrip antenna (MSA) and dielectric resonator antenna
(DRA). The electromagnetic characteristics of both antennas are calculated by the finite
difference method in the time domain using the Perfectly Matched Layer (PML) as the
boundary conditions and Ansoft HFSS software. The results comparison shows that the
RD antenna offer high performance such as high bandwidth and a low quality factor Q.
In the second part, two new cylindrical antennas were designed and fabricated for ultra
wide band applications (ULB) (a bandwidth of 3.1GHz to 10.6 GHz). The first structure
integrates two antennas; one has a UW band for dynamic spectrum sensing and the other
has a narrow band for transmission, this antenna has a transmission coefficient less than
-20 dB which ensures effective integration. The second structure is an UWB dualpolarized antenna for transmission and reception of signals on two orthogonal
polarizations with a good separation between the two polarization ports" |
