dc.description.abstract The work of the present thesis falls within characterization and electromagnetic control of composite parts, specifically of unidirectional CFRP (Carbon Fibers Reinforced Polymer). In this scope two mathematical model were developed, the first one was designed to characterize the transverse electrical conductivity of CFRP, the idea was to use a percolation resistance network to represent of the possible inter fibers contacts. The electrical quantity of the resulting network were calculated using Markov chains, which allows us to predict the transverse conductivity and the principles parameters that influence it. The second model discuss the non destructive testing using eddy currents on CFRP, the simultaneous approach coupling micro to macro coupling was adopted. This approach have the benefit of getting homogenized solution without calculating the conductivity tensor explicitly, this advantage allows us to simulate microscopic internal defect affecting the CFRP.
