Abstract

The process of women to acquire political rights is considered long even will though the problem is legal or religious but this is due to the lack of political to involve them in managing her affairs or values and also to customs Prevailing at societies making the legal situation of women lower than man . Nevertheless, we have come problem of opposition to the participation of women in public life, being the half of society just as it should be noted that the united Nations were leader in the field of Women rights having devoted special care to her rights in application of the texts of its charter that clearly confirmed equality between men and women and made a goal for its relation with human rights , as when they adopted in 1952 the Convention of political rights of women, and in 1967 the Declaration on the Elimination Discrimination against Women , which led the Convention on the Elimination of Ail Forms Discrimination against Women in 1979 and generally, its political participation leads to add new cases expressing their needs adequately, women know and understand their core needs more so they can defend them better. Finally, women must them selves fight for their rights and work to promote them within the framework of international and national right and women associations, despite legislative guarantees international and local that worked to protect Women of ail form of discrimination , they remain insufficient as long as not accompanied by a change in mentality .
