dc.description.abstract Select system passed the law on traffic in the Strait in two phases, the first in the form of a reference in article 16 of the Geneva Convention on the territorial sea and the contiguous zone of 1958, and the second phase and is codified under the United Nations Convention on the law of the sea of 1982 where he part III under the title straits used for international navigation from article 43 to article 45, the provisions of the Convention have included and special traffic system controls applied, whether innocent passage or transit and for each type of Types of ships (merchant ships and warships). International Maritime channels, despite their importance and becoming essential ports and important international trade routes, but no traffic within the General Convention and not under the 1982 law of the Sea Convention, the reason was due to the scarcity and different geographical and legal nature, necessitating the development of a legal regime for private traffic.
