dc.description.abstract In this paper, we proposed using the Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP) model as a multicriteria decision-making method to establish a more accurate system for evaluating the attack's severity on network performance based on determining the weight of four qualitative and quantitative indicators: throughput, latency, packet delivery rate, and energy consumption. We applied this model to evaluate the severity of three attack kinds (black hole, gray hole, and wormhole attacks) on the wireless body area network performance to determine the most or least dangerous one. Experimental results show that using the AHP model in evaluating the attacks' severity on network performance to determine the most or least dangerous one is more accurate than using network performance analysis based on the packet delivery ratio, delay, energy consumption, and data rate in evaluating the attacks' severity and determining the most dangerous one as in existing works fr_FR
