dc.description.abstract Artificial intelligence (AI) has significantly changed many scientific disciplines, including geology, in recent decades. This article reviews current applications of AI in geology, such as analyzing data, process modeling, image interpretation and prediction of geological phenomena. Examples of the use of machine learning and deep learning techniques, their advantages and limitations, as well as the future of the field.
