Abstract:
The purpose of our thesis is to analyse the theme of heritage and writing strategies in Francophone Algerian literature, through the texts of Kateb Yacine and Salim Bachi. Both writers belong to two generations of Algerian literature, however, their works share several legacies; starting with Kateb’s legacy in Bachi’s texts; but also those from history, religion, Greek mythology, orality and
Arab culture. This work insists, on the one hand, on the shaping of these legacies which differ from one author to another, and underlines, on the other hand, the literary originality of each one’s style.
