Abstract:
The genus Achillea is one of the most important genera in the Asteraceae family, which 
includes about 130 species around the world. It is mainly perennial herbaceous, which grows 
mainly in Europe and temperate areas of Asia and a few in North America. We report here, 
the antioxidant activity of Achillea species using tree complementary methods (DPPH∙ radical 
scavenging, ABTS∙+ and Phenanthroline activity). While, the total phenolic content was 
determined by the Folin–Ciocalteu method with gallic acid as a standard. The results showed 
that the studied plant presents a good antioxidant potential due to their richness in 
polyphenols
