The use of the electronic communication became intensified during this last years among students especially with the advent of 3G / 4G, becoming the platform for writing. A writing characterized by voluntary transgressions of conventional norms that are achieved through the use of abbreviative and simplifying strategies of French spelling. However, this new scriptural trend has always worried educational institutions that continue to sound the alarm about its impact on the spelling level of learners. We have therefore tried in this thesis to invest the university sphere to study the phenomenon of digital writing in a rigorous way by analyzing authentic written productions of students in a formal context.
