After completing this research grace of God Almighty, we conclude from this research, that the principle of universal jurisdiction is one of the emerging principles of public international law, and that this principle is designed to protect the rights of human rights gross violations, and that this principle is intended to put a end to impunity politics dominated by the international community for centuries as it is the embodiment of the equality of all before the law, regardless of their official capacity. as part of this research we have two problimatiques to meet : -The first: Is that universal jurisdiction can be applied in the field of international law of the sea as a branch of public international law?. may have to say yes, because the principle of universal jurisdiction is applied in the context of international criminal law, and because the international law of the sea, contains penal provisions against marine crimes therein, and thus the principle of universal jurisdiction applies both in the field of international law of the sea in the presence of criminal provisions of the Act, these provisions may require ,the application of the principle of universal jurisdiction. -The Second : What are the consequences of its application in the field of international law of the sea ?.
