Abstract

This paper, entitled as ""Machine and Instrument Dictionary of Ma’ruf AlRusafi- a Language Study"", highlights the issue of the machine names in the Arabic language, its forms and derivations, and the fundamental differences between the machine and the instrument. It discussed the disorder in which the ancient linguists based on modern blog in “Machine and Instrument Dictionary of Ma’ruf Al-Rusafi”. This research paper addressed the machine names in this blog and divided it according to its origins to: Arabic and Latin such as: Persian, Greek, Italian, French and others, and showed the vocal and morphological changes that occurred there. It concluded that what the ancients had done about machine name must be reviewed so that the Arabic language can keep up with the scientific and technological developments that modern history has known.
